This is a special series of corporate belly dance performance by a group of beautiful and talented Genting Group corporate executives from the city of entertainment. They have been learning belly dancing with the KL,Malaysia renowned belly dance performing artiste, instructor and choreographer: ELi since 3 months ago under the ELSA Dance's corporate belly dance training programme. We embrace the culture of quality assurance here at ELSA Dance Asia and Performing Arts.

ELi, ELSA Dance is the official choreographer for Genting Group Belly Dance Performance. ELi was being invited as a VIP guest performer to perform during the annual dinner. ELSA Dance entire crew were also being invited to join Tan Sri Lim and the others 800 employees of Genting Group for dinner on the 17 December 2009 at Istana Hotel KL, Malaysia.






We would like to extend our greatest appreciation to Genting Group. We wish you all Happy Belly Dancing and Happy New Year 2010.

“Good Dance Shoe - These are great for belly dancing. My only complaint is that they twist a little when twisting your foot into the floor. Other than that, it's as close to dancing barefoot as you could get.”

"Leopard print is practically a neutral in the belly dance costuming world. Black, white, grey, beige, and leopard print.

There are a fair amount of turns in belly dance, but it's not like we're pirouetting on demi-pointe for hours at a time. That said, people's hip scarves lose coins and beads pretty regularly, and it's worthwhile to have some protection for the balls of your feet. Some of my classmates wear ballet slippers or jazz shoes (I always have a pair of pedini-type shoes in my bag for when I need the heel support) but in general, I find any kind of shoe that encloses my toes to be a detriment to my dancing.

Since weight transfer is so vital to belly dance, having my toes completely mobile helps me a lot to push my weight around from my heels to my toes, and even somewhat for side to side weight transfer. Plus I feel more grounded when my toes can grip the floor. I have long toes, and they're fairly strong for non-grasping digits. and I really like to dig them in when I need to stabilize myself.

I have to admit it (in case you haven't already realized) I am a little vain about my classwear. I am definitely the kind of person who collects all kinds of cute accessories, and has no qualms about wearing them to class. After all, I'm all drab every day for work, so one day a week, I'm a peacock."

Dear all ELSA Dance members,

Please be informed that, ELi, Aiza and Kim will be performing for the Short+Sweet Dance Festival every night from 8.30pm onward throughout the week at Kuala Lumpur Performing Art Centre (KLPac) with commencing from 20/7 (Mon) to 25/7 (Sat).

Therefore, all the afternoon and evening belly dance classes (4.30pm onward) conducted by ELi will stop for one week starting next Monday to Saturday.
